Aunt Kathy asked me to create this blog to keep everyone updated on the Christmas events and capture everyone's thoughts without numerous emails being sent back and forth. Please look to this site for all updates and feel free to post comments to let everyone know your thoughts.
Hopefully we can keep this going after the holidays for other events like the reunion, etc.

Well, I am very excited to have everyone come out to my hometown to celebrate Christmas. We are going to have a lot of fun, and I will plan various activities for the cousins!!! I love everyone but right now I have to get back to studing.... FINALS :(

Since I thought I was the HNIC, I'm sorry HAAIC, Let set some rules. Yes, It's me AUNT Kathy! First of all I didn't say GO! Secondly, this blog is for important stuff like getting the food, I mean menu, together. Finally, since I have spoken let the blogging begin!!!.
I am not the first to respond but I want be the last. So who is going to make the dressing and turkey? Those are the two that require a lot of time and prepration.
I vote for Lou doing the dressing and James Albert doing two (2) cajun fried turkey. Don't
knock the fried turkey if you haven't tried it. I will do ??? the dicing of the bell peppers, celery, etc. The menu should loook like this:Dressing, Baked Chicken; Ham; Turkey; Greens; Macaroni & cheese; candied yams; boiled corn; and green beans. Desserts: we really don't need desserts but I better list a few: red velvet cake, german chocolate cake, pound cake, potatoe pie,pecan pie. Cornbread, sweet tea, and beverages. Now yall get to work and sign up for a menu item. Did I forget something?? This may be enough for us till Wednesday noon.
I'll make the Pepsi! LOL
No seriously I'll help with any prep work you all need.
I think we should get the ham and turkey from Honey Bake. I will do the baked chicken on Monday.
I will make the sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and another surprise desert. Also, Ashley will make the brownies. Us Payne's can bake :)

What is the hotel # to make reservations
The hotel number is 847-336-6300, ask to speak to Ken. You have to call by tomorrow to confirm your reservation.
I don't know about you guys but everywhere I go I see red, gray and black attire. I must have purchased at least 3 red blouses\sweaters, two pairs of gray pants, one pair of red/black/gray pants. Okay can I say stop the madness. I have even bought three sweaters for Micah - one red, one red\black\gray and one gray. Odis has his black\gray sweater. We are now waiting on OJ to buy his sweater; he didn't want mommy to pick it out for him.
But I can't wait to get some R&R. See you soon.
I just so happened bought a lot of clothings in those colors. I didn't have to do additional shopping but I am sure the
"girls" will need to buy something.
